I had the privilege of participating in Yolanda's instruction on academic English writing before embarking on my master's program at the University of Oxford. To put it unequivocally, she stands out as the most exceptional language instructor I've encountered on my academic journey.

Yolanda possesses an exceptionally high level of expertise, consistently employing effective methods to impart her knowledge to students. She diligently prepares and conducts her classes, readily addressing any questions posed by her students.

In Yolanda's classroom, one acquires the skills to proficiently manipulate language, with her guidance enabling the flexible application of these skills to one's studies. Furthermore, she is always displaying a genuine concern for students' growth and striving to facilitate students' progress. I am willing to recommend Yolanda's courses to anyone in need.

If I say it was a blessing to be admitted to the University of Oxford for a Master's degree, attending Yolanda's spoken course was another great blessing! With Yolanda's help, I successfully passed Oxford's pre-sessional program to fulfil the language requirement. Before the spoken course, my IELTS speaking band score was only 6.0, but after Yolanda's instruction, I achieved an almost perfect score on the speaking test in the pre-sessional program (27/28 - Higher Level).

Yolanda's course is very active and exciting, and her vigour constantly amazed and affected me. Although her work is so intensive and tiring, her course is still full of passion. Also, Yolanda possesses abundant knowledge and advanced teaching methods, and she also provides many excellent study materials. Hence, the only thing you need to worry about is you don't work hard.

The most important thing is that Yolanda is such a kind, gentle and patient teacher that it amazes me. I still remember one day I had a small problem, and even though the class was over, Yolanda went out of her way to answer my questions and give suggestions! I even felt sorry for taking up her time, but she didn't think it mattered!

Therefore, I will give my highest rating and recommendation!

Yolanda Hartshorne is a truly exceptional English teacher who played a pivotal role in helping me achieve my C1 Cambridge exam goals. Her teaching style, dedication, and support were instrumental in my success. Yolanda's passion for teaching and her ability to create a nurturing learning environment made the journey enjoyable. She not only provided structured lessons but also valuable resources and test preparation strategies. Thanks to her, I not only reached my academic goals but also developed a deep appreciation for the English language.

Yolanda's classes are very enjoyable and easy to follow. Responds to the needs of each student and raises the class dynamics according to those needs. Her explanations are clear and based on examples. Her recommendations are very helpful, especially in writings. Something that I really liked was doing the speech monologues with a poster using images, without text, for the fluency and imagination of the moment, to be able to improvise. I totally recommend her classes, if you want to enjoy the language for pleasure and not for obligation.

Yolanda is an outstanding teacher. She combines experience with professionalism. All her classes are highly prepared, and she manages to develop them in an amusing way. Her skills are not only related to the pure English grammar, but also include redaction styles for professional writing. As a teacher, she is approachable and she attends to the specific needs of each student.

Durante el curso Yolanda ha demostrado ser una gran profesional, así como saber adaptarse a las necesidades de cada alumno. Entiende las metas a conseguir de cada uno y sabe como hacerlas posibles. Puedo decir que he conseguido mi objetivo planteado al principio del curso y que ha sido en gran parte a Yolanda.

Tuve a Yolanda de profesora de inglés durante un año y puedo decir que es una de las mejores profesoras de idiomas que he tenido. Mejoró mi writing gracias a su dominio de la redacción y, sobre todo, por la claridad de sus explicaciones. Las clases se me hacían amenas, pero con contenido  práctico. La querría de nuevo como profesora sin duda alguna.

Yolanda was my English teacher for a year and I can say that she is one of the best language teachers I have ever had. She improved my writing thanks to her writing skills and, above all, the clarity of her explanations. The classes were enjoyable, but with practical content. I would definitely want her to be my teacher again without a doubt.

Yolanda es una excelente profesora además de gran profesional y cuenta con la formación y experiencia necesarias para ejercer su profesión.  Sabe adaptar los cursos a las necesidades de cada alumno y adecuar sus contenidos. Sabe captar los objetivos perseguidos por cada estudiante y trabaja de forma conjunta para lograr su consecución diseñando diferentes planes y métodos de aprendizaje. Establece un perfecto equilibrio entre las clases teóricas y la enseñanza práctica, lo que supone una alta motivación para el alumno. Utiliza todos los recursos didácticos posibles, lo que hace de su enseñanza una tarea mucho más entretenida. En resumen, Yolanda es una profesora altamente recomendable con gran aptitud para ejercer la docencia y con la que puede comprobar la evolución en nuestro aprendizaje de forma rápida y constante.
